Colombian born designer Sandra Baquero, influenced by the sensuality of her background, creates for all body types in mind, allowing every woman to feel sexy. Having no rules or boundaries for her creations, her style is based on her culture, nature, and the diversity of New York. Every time she walks the streets of NY she says she finds inspiration in the multicultural environment that surrounds her. Never wanting to design for a trend or particular style she creates with her heart guiding her, leading to unique and unexpected designs. 

Taking notes from her favorite designer, the late Alexander McQueen, his legacy inspires her to leave boundaries behind her, realize not everything has to be perfect, and create designs in architectural forms. “Don’t follow rules and think outside the box”. “Each collection has a unique spirit,” she explains, and with comfort and practicality in mind Sandra wants you to feel fabulous. Her designs can be worn from day into evening if you like, incorporating a wonderful mix of vibrant colors and prints. 

While her pieces have been showcased in television shows and music videos, she’s most proud of the brand’s presence in events benefiting others such as “Fashion Keeps Fantasy Alive Haiti Relief” for children living in the Marantha Orphanage and School. She believes that fashion is intertwined with the very essence of our beings and is an integral part of how we live our lives, express the way we feel about ourselves as we navigate the world.
