And the Award goes to...
If there’s any fashionable competition to the red carpet at The Met or The Academy Awards, it’s definitely the CFDA Awards! The awards ceremony that happened earlier this week showed us some of fashion's most important people and exactly how we should be dressing this season. Of course I had to pick out my top 3 Lion’esque looks of the evening, and then give you my Why’en-esque Look as well.

My first favorite look of the night was super model, Arizona Muse. Although not as glamorous as most of the attendees, she was a rock star in her Diane von Furstenberg Cindy Dress in Puffy Sequence. With her disheveled hair, and clean make-up, she gave the CFDA’s a casual rocker look with an elegant twist. To get that elegant rocker look, try our Georgia Bag by Heather Belle in black. This Italian leather cross body bag has the elegance of a Chanel bag, but with an edgy twist. Then throw on a pair of Susan Hanover’s Tulip Tassel Earrings to finish off the look with a bit of sexiness!
My next favorite look was, (and don’t be too surprised), Mandy Moore. I’ll give you a minute to get her song “Candy” out of your head, but when you’re ready, please keep reading. She looked stunning in her Lela Rose gown. This Greek goddess look was absolutely beautiful on the pop star, and I haven’t seen her look this good since her role in Walk to Remember. Ok maybe she didn’t look her best then, but it was such a good movie! You can easily get this ethereal look. Try Mandy’s sleek up-do and embellish it with the Blossom Dream Hair Pin by Daniela Milan. It’s such an easy way to add some class and elegance to your look. To finish it off, slip on the Organic Swirl Ring by Selen Bayrak and feel like an actual goddess.
My favorite look of the night may also be questioned a little because I just couldn’t chose Zoe Saldana's Prabal Gurung look, but it goes to super model Hilary Rhoda in Rebecca Minkoff. Seems like Minkoff will be receiving even more press from this red carpet moment, fresh off her “Call me Maybe” parody video that caused quite a commotion. Hilary looked fresh, young, sexy and current, with her bright color blocked dress. She kept it simple and was a huge stand out at the ceremony. With The Miama Monokini from Saga Swimwear, you can get a great summer color blocked look. Then to sex it up throw on a pair of KTCollection’s Druzy Stud Earrings and throw your Suntegrity Sunscreen in the Python Long Emvelope Clutch by Cecelia. Don’t be afraid to dress up your bathing suit. Most of you girls will just be lying poolside sipping a margarita anyway.
Finally, my Why-en’esque look of the week. I hate to do this to another great designer, but Rachel Roy, Why would you do that to yourself? I’m sure on the runway your design was beautiful, but on this red carpet it looks like you got stuck in a giant wad of neon bubble gum. To give you some credit Rachel, Elettra Wiedemann looked great in your dress. Maybe we need to get these designers some stylists because apparently just because you can make great clothing doesn’t mean you know how to wear it.
